About Me

Thanks for dropping by and welcome to Lilly’s Life.

I started this blog in early 2008 after I needed some diversion therapy from one of life's more trying episodes.

And, as many of you know from your own experiences, blogatherapy worked so well that I became addicted to blogging. And to the Blogosphere. At large.

I usually write about the more amusing things that happen in my life and I just wrote when the urge strikes me. Thankfully for your sake it's not a journal of my personal life but just things i come across in my day to day life...  I also use the blog to send secret, oh OK, not so subtle messages to my grown up daughter. And as expected, and as she should, she totally ignores me.

I like to take lots of photos and try to use only my images on my blog. I don't really know what I am doing with a camera and people tell me it clearly shows.  I just pretend they are being supportive and actually care. As time goes on, I also seem to be channelling my grandmother.  I now find myself with an opinion on just about anything and everything. And I mean everything even when I know nothing about the subject matter. I like to thinks its just maturity....as opposed an affliction.

I think the best thing I ever did for my blog was letting my father write some guest posts. He begged and grovelled and I finally caved. Actually the reality is, I knew he would make my blog better but I eventually had to ban him as he developed a cult following and got way more laughs than me. My blogging friends, gave him lots of happy times when due to his illness he needed it most. He passed away this year and when I miss him I just read his posts again and remember the laughs we always had. He really was a special person. He now will exist in the blogosphere forever and rightly so.

Feel free to contact me about my blog if you really have nothing more important to do BUT there are a few stipulations.

If you are a filthy rich billionaire, a very successful publisher or have big advertising bucks to squander, email me immediately at  lilly@lillyslife.com  - any time, night or day.

Given that is hardly likely to eventuate anyone can contact me provided you're not a sociopath or little Jimmy Porter from 4th grade.

Take a look around as there are about 500 posts of who knows what for you to look at and you can find my most popular posts at the top of the page.   Yes, I do not take myself too seriously, life is too short.

Yes, as you can imagine I found it a right pain in the ass standing next to this person but you have to do what you have to do in life.
