Sunday Life - blogging

As you may have noticed, Lilly's Life has a new look.

By accident though.

You now have to click on the post title to see the post in full and to see the comments.

You see I decided to get a bit serious about blogging again just as it's apparently going out of fashion.  It seems that everyone is too busy facebooking and twittering to blog or read blogs these days.
Except me and maybe you too.
Anyway, in my efforts to makeover my blog, I clicked on a Blogger design template called Dynamic Views and .......abracadabra .....I got a little more than I bargained for.
I can't seem to get it back the way it was and I am not sure if I like it. So I'm kind of stuck with it.... just like my new hair cut...

I am hoping they both might grow on me.

Dynamic Views is apparently a unique browsing experience that makes it easier and faster for readers to explore blogs in interactive ways. You can use the Sidebar view, to preview the blog in different ways by using the view selection bar at the top left of the screen.

You might want to try out the new look on your own blog—read the official Blogger Buzz post for more info. Blogger says in the next few weeks we should be able to customise the templates which will be good because I kind of miss a few things I used to have ......including the rest of my hair.
Happy Sunday.

  1. Hey! Me too! I was getting tired of my old place and I was getting tired of other bloggers complaining about my use of light text over a dark background, which according to the bloggy powers that be, is apparently a no-no. I have to say I like the new look. Sometimes one does have to re-invent themselves to avoid going stale. :)

  2. Ok this is really different. Not sure if I like it. :) It doesn´t quite feel like "Lilly´s" yet, but it will grow on us.
I´m glad you´re still blogging and will be here to support you.

  5. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

That's my motto. Not going to fiddle with the settings, resisted the temptation despite the rain over this long weekend :)

  6. Ooops! I know the feeling. I now keep another blog in the background just to fiddle around with so I'm not tempted to touch the main blog again. It drove me crazy trying to figure out how to get back to where I started. This is certainly interesting, but I had to rummage around your blog to figure out how to comment. I LOVE these cartoons!

  7. I noticed the optional views on blogger earlier and it appears this is follow-on to that. I put a snapshot view on my sidebar as a link. My analogy of changing the blog theme would be painting a room. Yes you can go back to the past color but it's really hard and it still looks different.
I changed my theme early in the year and found that older posts didn't look so good with the changes.
Oh guess which cartoon I like the best. It's the creativity of the post that really counts.

  9. Ahhh... ye-es... hmmm. I understand the need you perhaps feel for makeovers, though I don't necessarily agree (a female thing apparently), because I am more from the "If it ain't broken, don't fix it" school of thought.

However, it boils down to me not being sure either - I like it, but did I like the original better? Maybe.

So where are some pictures of the new hair??? That was ages ago, I think, wasn't it? More pics please!

Also, the commenting seems... um... a little unreliable, but that may be because Blogger knows that I hate it and is being spiteful!

    G ;)
