POMPEII MAGIC - How far have we really come?

The most interesting place in the world I ever visited was the ruins of Pompeii. If you ever get a chance, make the trip as you will not regret it for a second. Well over 2,000 years ago those 20,000 inhabitants lived a pretty damn good life before the volcano wiped them out. They had heated baths, gyms, gorgeous gardens, 9 brothels, take away food shops, amphitheatres, markets, great artworks, servants, lovely homes. It really is incredible to see that we have not come very far at all. So, if they had all 'that' many, many, many lifetimes ago, how come, other than being able to put a man on the moon, we haven't been able to solve the real issues of the day. Well, like inventing ladderless tights, non-iron clothes, an anti cellulite solution THAT works, two hour flights to Europe and fat free chocolate. And you thought I was going to ask for world peace and a cure for Cancer.........I am not that stupid. We can only do that if we get rid of greedy men in the banking, pharmaceutical and media industries. I guess, that's what natural disasters are for.....
